Amrita Raja, AIA
A London-based architectural designer, critic and educator with over 12 years of UK and international experience.
Amrita is the co-founder of SLAB, an award-winning design research collaborative, and the founder of The Counter-Canon Project, an archive of under-represented voices in architectural history.
Shortlisted for the RIBA Rising Stars award in 2019, she was most recently a Senior Associate at Woods Bagot, where she led large-scale mixed-use projects in the EMEA region. Her essays and reviews have appeared in publications including Metropolis and The Washington Post. She has been a guest critic and lecturer at the Architectural Association, University of Newcastle, University of Reading, Virginia Tech, Parsons School of Design, and the Fontainebleau Ecole de Beaux-Arts.
Amrita is a registered member of the American Institute of Architects and licensed to practice architecture by the Commonwealth of Virginia. She currently serves as a Director on the AIA International Region Board, where she Chairs the Virtual Conference Committee, and on the AIA United Kingdom Board, as First Past-President.
